Cartridge Water Filtration Systems
Perhaps the mostly widely used method of water purification the world over, is the cartridge filter. Cartridge filters consist of an inline housing that holds a filter cartridge. Water flows into the housing and is forced through the cartridge. Water then flows up the hollow centre of the filter cartridge and is sent to service. Cartridge filtration is immensely flexible due to the range of cartridges available. Common cartridges for removing sediment include pleated cellulose, pleated polyester, and spun polyester. Activated carbon, sometimes called "charcoal" filtration is very commonly used to remove chemicals and bad taste and odour-causing contaminants.
